Top-down video booth with an attendant
A camera turns above your guests and films them from the top down, then adds your overlay and sends the clip to their phones. Priced on a written quote for events across Toronto and the GTA.
Delivery, setup and teardown, a trained attendant, a custom video overlay, instant sharing and a private online gallery with every booking.
An overhead 360 booth puts the camera above the guests instead of beside them. The camera turns in a circle overhead and films the people below from the top down, so the clip shows the whole group, the way they move and the floor they are standing on. The booth then adds a custom overlay with your names, logo, date or hashtag, and guests receive the clip on their phones.
Because the camera looks down, the shot is not limited to the two to four people who fit on a standard 360 platform. That makes the overhead booth a different tool: it is for moments that happen on the floor, such as a first dance, a circle of friends on the dance floor or a group standing on a logo printed on the floor.
Just Great Events is owner-run and based in North York, and the overhead 360 booth is part of the same range as the 360 photo booth and the other booths for photo booth rental in Toronto. A trained attendant from the team sets it up, runs it for the booked hours and packs it away.
| Overhead 360 booth | Platform 360 booth | |
|---|---|---|
| Camera position | Above the guests, turning overhead | At body height on an arm that circles a round platform |
| View in the clip | Top down: heads, shoulders, outfits, the pattern of the group and the floor | Side on: every angle of the people on the platform |
| Group size | Larger groups on the floor; the size that works in your room is confirmed on the quote | Two to four people at a time |
| Where it goes | On or beside the dance floor, or wherever the moment happens | A fixed corner with a red carpet and stanchions |
| Room it needs | Depends on the ceiling and what is above the spot; confirmed with you and the venue | About 8 by 8 feet of floor and 9 feet of clearance |
| Price | Priced on a written quote | $400 for 2 hours within the GTA, $100 per extra hour |
There is also a third moving-camera option: the robot arm video booth, which swings the camera around one guest or a couple for a red-carpet style clip.
Seen from above, a full dance floor turns into a moving pattern. The overhead booth films the crowd where it already is, without asking people to leave the floor and queue.
Bridal parties, sports teams, school classes and office teams can fit into one shot instead of splitting into several turns on a small platform.
A top-down clip of the couple turning on the floor, the dress moving around them, is a different record from the side-on footage a videographer usually captures.
A logo, monogram or campaign graphic on the floor shows clearly from above, so every clip carries the brand under the guests’ feet as well as in the overlay. Ask for it on the quote.
These come with every Just Great Events booth booking. Anything extra is listed separately on your written quote.
The camera and the equipment that holds it above the guests, set up for your room.
Your names, logo, date or hashtag on every clip, approved by you before the event.
One person runs the booth, manages the area under the camera and helps guests for the booked hours.
Groups can go under the camera as many times as they like while the booth is running.
A prop kit for guests who want something in their hands for the shot.
Guests get their clips on their phones during the event.
Every clip from the event in one place to watch, download and share afterwards.
The team brings everything, sets up before guests arrive and packs it away at the end.
An overhead camera depends more on the room than a booth that stands on the floor. Asking your venue coordinator these questions early makes the quote accurate.
Measure or ask for the height where the booth would run, not the room average. Send it with your quote request.
Chandeliers, lighting rigs, draping, sprinklers and DJ lighting all affect where the camera can turn. Photos of the ceiling help.
Some venues have rules about equipment over or beside the dance floor and about floor decals. Ask before you plan a floor graphic.
Note where the outlets are near the spot so cables can be planned away from where guests walk.
Tell the team whether you want the booth for one moment, such as the first dance, or running for set hours, and share the run-of-show if you have one.
For tents, patios or outdoor spaces, say so in your request. Cover, wind and ground conditions are checked before an overhead setup is confirmed.
The overhead 360 booth is priced on a written quote for each event. The quote lists the booth, the hours, the setup your room needs, travel outside the GTA if it applies, and every extra, so you see the full amount before you confirm. Travel within Toronto is part of the base rate.
For a reference point, the platform 360 booth is $400 for 2 hours within the GTA and $100 for each extra hour. The guide to photo booth rental cost in Toronto explains what changes the price of a booth booking, and you can compare every booth on one page.
Date, venue, city, guest count and the moment you want filmed, plus the ceiling height and a photo of the spot if you can.
The team confirms what the room allows and sends a written quote. After you confirm, your overlay is designed and sent for approval.
The attendant sets up before guests arrive, checks the setup, runs the booth for the booked hours and packs everything away afterwards.
The team brings the overhead booth to banquet halls, hotels, event spaces, offices and private venues. Each city page has local notes and travel details.
Also serving Etobicoke, Burlington, Milton, Newmarket, Woodbridge, Thornhill, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby and Oshawa. Travel within Toronto is part of the base rate; travel outside the GTA is quoted per kilometre.
