Golf and country clubs
Aurora and the countryside around it have several golf clubs, including Magna Golf Club, and their reception rooms are usually bright, with tall windows and views of the course. Bright rooms suit a backdrop with texture, such as gold or champagne sequin, greenery or a flower wall. Put it on an inside wall: a backdrop in front of a window turns every print into a silhouette.
Aurora Town Square, the Cultural Centre and Hillary House
Aurora Town Square at Yonge and Church and the Aurora Cultural Centre next to it host community events, receptions and celebrations, and Hillary House is a historic home that draws photo sessions and small gatherings. Public and heritage buildings set rules about power, floors and load-in, so we ask for the coordinator's contact and confirm the booth spot with them.
Private schools and community centres
St. Andrew's College and other schools in and around Aurora hold formals, graduation dinners and parent association events, and the Aurora Family Leisure Complex and community centres host fundraisers and family days. These events have many guests in a short window, so a fast-printing booth and an attendant who keeps the line moving matter. The school events page has timing advice.
Homes
Aurora families often host sweet sixteens, 40ths, 50ths and anniversaries at home. The open-air booth needs about 8 by 8 feet, a solid wall for the backdrop and one outlet; finished basements and double garages usually work. Covered decks are fine in summer, but in October a cold deck empties fast, so the booth goes inside.
