Retro photo booth with an attendant
A retro-styled photo booth with print strips in a vintage design, props, a backdrop and a trained attendant, for themed parties, weddings and heritage venues across Toronto and the GTA.
Priced on a written quote. Unlimited sessions, instant digital sharing and a private online gallery with every booking.
A vintage photo booth is a photo booth styled to look like the ones people remember from train stations, arcades and old department stores: the narrow strip of frames stacked one above the other, a classic look on the print and props from another decade. Just Great Events offers a vintage or retro-style booth alongside its modern booths for clients who want that look at a wedding, a milestone birthday or a themed party in Toronto and the GTA.
Like every booking with us, the vintage booth comes with delivery, setup and teardown, a trained attendant for the booked hours, unlimited sessions, a custom print template, a backdrop, props, instant digital sharing and a private online gallery. The booth’s exact setup, print format and price are confirmed on your written quote, so tell us about the venue and the theme when you get in touch. If you want to see all the options first, you can compare every booth or start with our page on photo booth rental in Toronto.

Most of the vintage feel comes from four things guests notice right away. We agree each of them with you before the event.
The tall, narrow strip with frames stacked above a short caption is the format people link with old coin-operated booths. Our print templates already include 2×6 strips, and the vintage booth uses classic print strips in a vintage design.
Period lettering, a cream or patterned border and a date line in an older style do a lot of the work. Options such as a black and white finish are confirmed on your quote.
Feather boas and pearls for a 1920s night, aviators and scarves for the 1970s, cassette signs for the 1980s. Props come with every booking and are picked for your theme.
The retro styling of the booth itself, plus a backdrop that suits the room and the decade. Which backdrop fits a heritage venue or a theme party is something we settle together on the quote.
Clients who ask for a vintage booth often weigh it against two of our modern booths. Here is how they differ.
| Vintage photo booth | Signature Classic | Glam Booth | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Style | Retro styling with print strips in a vintage design | Modern open-air DSLR booth with studio lighting | Black and white studio portraits with softbox light |
| 2-hour price in the GTA | Priced on a written quote | $450, then $150 per extra hour | $500 |
| Prints | Classic print strips; format confirmed on the quote | 2×6 strip, 4×6 or 6×4 | 2×6 or 4×6 |
| Props and backdrop | Era props and a backdrop chosen for the theme | Curated prop kit and more than 20 backdrops | Backdrops that suit black and white |
| Digital sharing and gallery | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Attendant | Yes, for the booked hours | Yes, for the booked hours | Yes, for the booked hours |
| Usual events | Decade parties, heritage venue weddings, anniversaries | Weddings, corporate parties, birthdays, proms | Black-tie weddings and galas |
If you like the strip format and the classic look but want published specs and a fixed starting price today, the Signature Classic prints 2×6 strips with a design you choose, from $450 for two hours. A black and white Glam Booth is the other route to an older look.
These are part of every Just Great Events booking. The written quote lists them next to the booth and the hours.
We bring the booth, set it up before guests arrive and pack up after the last session. Travel within Toronto is part of the base rate.
One person from our team runs the booth for the booked hours, helps with poses and props and keeps the line moving.
Guests can come back as often as they like while the booth is running.
A vintage-style design with your names, the date or the event title, sent to you for approval before the day.
A backdrop picked to suit the venue and the period you are going for.
A prop kit chosen for your theme, from flapper headbands to oversized sunglasses.
Guests send their photos to their own phones on the spot.
Every photo from the event in a private gallery for you after the event.

Couples who planned a 1920s, 1950s or old Hollywood reception, or who chose a heritage venue, often want the booth to match. Strips with the couple’s names make a guest book page. See wedding photo booths.
A 60th with a 1960s playlist, a 40th that goes back to the 1980s, a sweet sixteen with a disco theme. The strip design carries the decade and the guest of honour’s name. See birthday parties.
Families marking 25 or 50 years sometimes recreate the style of the year the couple married, with the wedding date and the anniversary date side by side on the strip.
Holiday parties with a Gatsby or speakeasy theme, company anniversaries and client nights where a printed strip with the logo and year works as a favour. See corporate events.
Old Hollywood galas, rock and roll nights, Motown or swing dance evenings and fundraisers with a period dress code.
Proms and semi-formals with a roaring twenties or retro theme, with the school name on the strip. See school events.
A retro booth looks most at home where the building already has some age. These are the kinds of rooms in and around Toronto where clients usually ask for one.
Converted factories and warehouses, such as the Victorian industrial buildings of the Distillery District and the lofts of Liberty Village, where exposed brick does half the styling.
Historic estates, older private clubs and restored halls, where a modern LED booth can feel out of place next to wood panelling.
Downtown hotel ballrooms with chandeliers and plaster ceilings suit a 1920s or old Hollywood theme.
Rustic barns and estates north of the city, around Aurora, King and Newmarket, and golf and country clubs across the GTA.
Whatever the venue, send us a photo of the spot where you would like the booth and the measurements if you have them. Space and power needs for the vintage booth are confirmed on your quote, and we check access with the venue if needed.
Date, venue, city, guest count, the decade or style you have in mind and the hours you want the booth running. Call, WhatsApp or use the quote form.
You receive a written quote with the booth setup, the print format, the hours and every extra. Once you confirm, we design the vintage-style strip and send it for your approval.
The attendant sets up before guests arrive, runs the booth for the booked hours and packs up after the last session. Your private online gallery follows.
The vintage photo booth is priced on a written quote. The quote lists the booth, the hours, travel outside the GTA if any, and every add-on, and nothing is charged that is not on it.
For a sense of range, our published 2-hour prices within the GTA are $400 for the 360 Video Booth, $450 for the Signature Classic, $500 for the Glam Booth, $550 plus delivery for the Vogue Booth and $600 for the Mirror and AI booths. These are not the vintage booth’s price, which depends on the setup you choose. The guide to photo booth rental cost in Toronto explains what moves the price.
